CHEMICAL PEELS

Chemical peels safely remove or exfoliate the top layer of dead skin allowing new, more youthful, healthy skin to show through. While the skin typically sheds old, dull dead skin cells every 28 days, this process slows down with prolonged sun exposure and aging. Chemical peels cause this natural cell turnover process to speed up, helping to stimulate the growth of new collagen, or the skin-firming protein that acts like a scaffold for the skin. The speed or depth of cell turnover is determined by the concentration of the peel and the amount of time it’s left on skin. Chemical peels are an excellent way to renew surface cell turnover, leaving a bright and tight finish to the skin. They can truly be good for anyone. We treat patients dealing with acne, rosacea, melasma and more. Chemical peels are great for the face and the body!

At VivreSKIN, Bergen County, NJ practice, currently offer nine different strength peels. Every patient's skin is different, meaning they need different ingredients and concentrations in order to achieve the best result whether it is for corrective or preventative measures. VivreSKIN's dermal specialist, Mina-Jacqueline Au, FAAMM-P, can determine the best course of action for you

Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a non-invasive treatment that creates microscopic damage to the skin using a handheld device and very short, very fine needles that puncture the outer layers of the skin. The goal of this process is induce tiny, microscopic injuries to the skin in order to kickstart the skin's healing mechanisms and producing new collagen for more youthful-looking, tighter and rejuvenated skin. In this induced micro injury process, it causes the release of growth factors and cytokines, triggering fibroblasts to replace the collagen that has been damaged in addition to forming new and stronger collagen. Furthermore, we add a combination of hyaluronic acid, platelet rich plasma, growth factors, stem cells and cytokines which can penetrate to a much deeper level than if applied topically and greatly increase the body's ability to form strong collagen. As a result of this new collagen, the skin becomes stronger and more youthful, fine lines and wrinkles disappear, pores shrink, and scars are reduced.

Another microneedling device used at VivreSKIN Repair Clinic is the AQUAGOLD Fine Touch System. This takes traditional radiofrequency microneedling a step further with painless, custom solutions. The AQUAGOLD system is a unique channeling deliver that delivers micro-droplets of Botox® and fillers like Juvéderm® along with a possible cocktail of nourishing vitamins and serums to achieve even more dramatic, filtered skin results.
